With the influx of food trucks on the streets of Boston, finding something good to eat when hunger hits you is as easy as turning the next corner. Coconut Club Vacations Reviews a few of our favorite spots to grab a quick meal on the go.
The Bacon Truck
What happens when two high school friends get together and bond over their love of bacon? If you live in Boston, the answer is the light pink-colored Bacon Truck that roams the streets selling all things bacon to locals and visitors. The menu on the Bacon Truck focuses on “the single greatest food is known to man,” and includes a BLT, a grilled cheese and bacon sandwich, and the Pork and Mindy—which includes bacon, braised pork shoulder, red onions, avocado, cheddar and Havarti cheese and a smoky chipotle aioli.
This food truck is unlike many that are found on the streets at the moment. Known for its upscale cuisine, the truck is famous for its mocktails, mushroom sliders, and Brussel sprout slaw. The truck offers food for meat eaters, vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free fare, and does its best to provide patrons with dishes that will not be found at other eateries. Coconut Club Vacations Reviews favorites include their pork tostadas with black bean cornbread and their breakfast potatoes with egg and herbed aioli.
Patrick Lynch and Ali Fong opened Bon Me in 2011 after they entered (and won!) the City of Boston’s Food Truck Contest on a whim. Five years and many meals later, the duo has expanded their business to six food trucks and five brick-and-mortar restaurants. Coconut Club Vacations Reviews each location serves bold, fresh and fun Asian inspired cuisine. The duo makes sure that the food at each location adheres to the principles that they followed when the opened their first spot: from drinks to dressing all dishes are made from scratch.
The Chicken and Rice Guys
In 2011 the owners of the Chicken and Rice Guys opened their first food truck. They had one goal: to introduce the residents of Boston to the ridiculously delicious world of chicken and rice. Since that time they have launched a fleet of trucks, have multiple restaurant locations, and started a catering business to bring the food directly to their fans. The menu includes Halal Chicken, Gyros, Grilled tofu and a variety of seasoned rice, pitas and vegetables to add to the meal.
